Get into golf
Malvern Hills District Council is working with the Sports Partnership Herefordshire and Worcestershire, to deliver Sport England's programme, Sportivate.
Sportivate is a scheme which aims to get non-sporty 14-25 year olds to take up a new sport with courses typically running for 6-8 weeks. Participants pay £10 for each course and hopefully get more active as a result.
One such course is a six week run of golf lessons with P.G.A Professional Richard Lewis. "Get into Golf' is available for 14-25 year olds, for just £10 for all six sessions starting 16 September 2014.
90% discounts are available for the golf lessons delivered by The Worcestershire Golf Club for the 6-8 weeks Sportivate period. No previous experience is needed so sign up for the six sessions and learn the basics with Sportivate Golf Lessons. For more information go to www.malvernhills.gov.uk/sportivate or contact Sarah Beazley at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Malvern Hills District Council also offers other sporting activities such as rock climbing. To find out more visit www.malvernhills.gov.uk/sportivate or contact George Wathen on 01684 862372 or e-mail email@example.com.
