Line up unveiled for open air cinema

Organisers have today announced the line up of a new open air cinema experience that will offer the opportunity to see cinema classics in Priory Park, Malvern.

The idea follows consultation with young people who suggested it as an idea and follows a very successful trial last year - when the Steven Spielberg classic ‘Jaws’ was shown to over 300 people on the big screen.

The first film, ‘Singin’ In The Rain’ will be shown on Sunday, 1 May at 6.30pm in Priory Park, Malvern. Before the film starts audiences will also be treated to a concert by The Film Concert Orchestra who will play popular tunes from the film and other classic movies.

Cllr. Phil Grove, Leader of Malvern Hills District Council, said “This debut film is the launch of a series of outdoor cinema experiences that will add yet another fun and enjoyable event to the town. We expect it to be very popular, so get your tickets quickly!”
