One week to go until Small Business Saturday
In just one week – on Saturday 6 December – Small Business Saturday returns to Malvern. This national scheme to promote the support and use of small businesses was launched last year and was regarded as a great success
This year Malvern Hills District Council wants to make sure all small businesses in the district are aware of this great opportunity to promote and attract trade, whilst also encouraging residents to show their support for their local small business community by shopping with them and using their products and services.
Councillor Phil Grove, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development at Malvern Hills, said: "We are supporting this national campaign as we want people to use their local small businesses both on 6 December and in the crucial lead-up to Christmas."
He continued: "Shoppers can take advantage of our free parking on Fridays and Saturdays across all of the three towns from 28 November to 20 December. From home workers to High Street shops, small local businesses play a crucial role in helping to sustain our communities and High Streets. I would encourage all our local residents to show their support for them on Small Business Saturday."
There are a number of Christmas events being held in Tenbury Wells, Upton-upon-Severn and Malvern on the 6 December that will offer an ideal opportunity for people to show their support. Tenbury Wells is holding its annual Mistletoe Festival with markets, events and entertainment throughout the day. Upton-upon-Severn has an all day Victorian street market in New Street, and Barnards Green is hosting its annual Christmas Extravaganza between 10am and 1pm.
