Open Air Cinema comes to Malvern to show classic movie under the stars
Film lovers will be able to enjoy a big screen classic under the stars as part of an open air cinema event being held in Malvern.
Malvern Hills District Council, along with Malvern Theatres, is hosting a screening of Steven Spielberg's Jaws, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.
The screening takes place on Sunday 27 September in Priory Park, Malvern from 8.30 pm. It will be shown on a screen the size of a double decker bus and those attending are encouraged to bring their own picnic, blankets, chairs, and of course, the popcorn.
Tickets are available from Malvern Theatres box office and cost £7.50 per adult, £5 per child aged 12 to 16 as the film is rated 12A. Refreshments will also be available from Malvern Theatres.
Councillor Rebecca Massey, portfolio holder for economic development and tourism at Malvern Hills, said:
"We are thrilled to be hosting the outdoor cinema event in Malvern with an absolute all time classic film and we are expecting to attract a large audience.
"We recommend people come early to get a good position so they can sit back, relax and enjoy what is going to be a fantastic evening."
