Post a Letter to Santa campaign raises vital funds for children’s charity

Malvern Tourist Information Centre has recently donated £183 to Acorns Children’s Hospice after another successful post a letter to Santa campaign.

Children sent their Christmas wish lists from the Victorian post box located inside the centre during November and December with the purchase of a special £1 stamp.

All children then received a personal reply and small gift from Santa, straight from the North Pole.

Since the Post a Letter to Santa has been running, the team at Malvern TIC has raised more than £2,144 for Acorns.

Mandie Fitzgerald, Community Fundraising Manager for Acorns in the Three Counties, said: “We’re so grateful to have once again had the support of Malvern District Council through its Letter to Santa initiative. We rely on the community to continue our work so this on-going commitment helps to provide the vital income we need.”

Anne Rich, Tourist Information Centre Supervisor said: “We are delighted so many families get involved in this annual tradition. The charity provide such important care and services and we are pleased that we can all pull together to help with this.”
