Shark in the park
You might be tucked safely under a blanket and on dry land, but be prepared for a few scares and screams when Jaws appears on the big screen at Priory Park in Malvern.
On Sunday 27 September at 8.30pm (entrance from 7.30pm), Malvern Hills District Council and Malvern Theatres will be screening the classic Steven Spielberg film, in honour of it celebrating its 40th anniversary.
The film, which is rated 12a, will be shown on a screen the size of a double decker bus and those attending are encouraged to bring their own picnic, blankets and chairs.
Councillor Rebecca Massey, the portfolio holder for tourism and leisure, said: "We're thrilled to be hosting the outdoor cinema event in Malvern with an absolute all time classic film, and we're expecting a large audience. We recommend people come early to get a good position and then they can just sit back, relax and enjoy what is going to be a thrilling evening."
Tickets cost £7.50 (under 18s £5) and are available from Malvern Theatres Box Office - telephone 01684 892277 or visit www.malvern-theatres.co.uk.
Jaws is rated 12a and the running time is 124 minutes. The event is outdoors and uncovered so please bring your own blankets, picnic rugs, chairs, refreshments… and inflatable armbands (if you really want to get into it).
Refreshments will also be available from Malvern Theatres on the night.
