Spooky goings on at Upton TIC!

As if in readiness for Halloween a creepy phantom has appeared on the wall at Upton TIC and Heritage Centre.

The image that terrifyingly crept up the inside wall of the landmark ‘Pepperpot' building looks like a witch and appeared at the TIC last week just in time for the lead up to Halloween.

Its been suggested the witch-like image could resemble one of the women who centuries ago was put in the Ducking stool in the river after screaming abuse at the men of the town.

Simon Smith, Economic Development Manager at MHDC said "It's certainly a spooky coincidence that we have this creepy image on the wall and it's a timely fit with all the holiday activities across the area over half term and Halloween. As ever families are encouraged to come and have a look around the heritage centre displays for free and see our scary ‘peppery' witch for themselves. "
