Xplore the trail in Great Malvern

Families have the chance to get active and test their decision-making skills this half term with the launch of a new fun navigation challenge.

Malvern Hills District Council has joined forces with Freedom Leisure and Action For Children to launch a series of Xplorer Orienteering events.

The first one takes place in Priory Park,  Malvern on Saturday 29 October between 10.30am and 2pm.

Using only a map, the challenge will be to find a series of markers located around the park starting from the bandstand. The hunt costs just 50p per person, lasts for about an hour and no experience of map reading is necessary.

Further events are planned later in the year.

Cllr David Watkins, portfolio holder for healthier communities on Malvern Hills District Council,  said: “Xplorer is the perfect family fun for half term. It will appeal to the sense of adventure within both parents and children, as well as helping people to get active and explore the beautiful Priory Park.”
