Armed Forces Community Covenant

Malvern Hills District Council is proud to be part of the Armed Forces Community Covenant for Worcestershire, set up to encourage local support for the Armed Forces community.

The Ministry of Defence set up the Covenant Grant Scheme to fund local projects, which strengthen the ties or the mutual understanding between members of the Armed Forces Community, and the wider community in which they live.

The Armed Forces Community Covenant is a voluntary statement of mutual support between a civilian community and its local Armed Forces Community.

It encourages support for the Armed Forces Community working and residing in Worcestershire and recognises and remembers the sacrifices made by members of this community, particularly those who have given the most.

Find out more about what is happening in your area and how you can show your support and organise an event for next year on the Armed Forces Day website.
