New WelDest Project
MHDC have been asked to take part
in the European funded WelDest project. The
project centres around a destination “tool kit” that can be
used to define a region as a health and well being
destination. The process involves undertaking
development work with local spa centres who have agreed
to support the project. The outcomes of the Malvern work
will be added to the overall European research programme which
will be availabe in a report towards the end of
2014. The work is aimed at developing a wider
appreciation of the benefits of spa tourism and how that can play a
role in the overall economy of an area.
Please follow the link below to the blogspot and also
a link to the project survey. Please feel free to add your comments
on the blog and also please undertake the survey if you have
used a local spa facility.
