Street dance sessions coming to Bayton
People of all ages from in and around Bayton
will have the chance to try out street dance with the ’12 Moves
Dance Squad’ from Thursday 16th September – Thursday
21st October. If you are aged 5 – 80yrs then why
not join one of the taster sessions which will be running on
Thursdays at Bayton Village Hall, between 19.00-21.00.
The sessions are a great opportunity to have
fun and get fit at the same time. If there’s a good turnout
at each venue, it could well lead on to regular dance projects in
your area!
There will also be opportunities for older
people to take part in the project – more details will be released
very soon. This is the first year of the ’12 Moves’ programme
and next year, they will be setting up new dance clubs in the areas
where taster sessions like these have been most successful.
’12 Moves’ is a 2 and a half year programme of
classes, projects and performances on offer throughout
Worcestershire, commissioned through the People Dancing
project.
People Dancing is a three year programme, part
of the West Midlands Culture Programme for London 2012 which is
funded by Legacy Trust UK, Arts Council England West Midlands and
Advantage West Midlands, aimed at encouraging mass participation in
dance and dance related activity across the West Midlands.
