Annual Report published

Malvern Hills District Council
has published its annual report for 2009-10 called 'Building a
Better Future'
The document, which is available in libraries
across the district, sets out the organisations achievements from
the past twelve months, together with its ambitious plans for
2010-11.

2009-10
Highlights include the fact that 44 new businesses have been
supported to set up, 119 tourist providers are now officially
accredited, more teenagers than ever are now taking part in
sporting opportunities, 91 affordable homes have been delivered,
and the council has an end of year recycling rate of 28.1%. Further
to that the council has supported a wide range of community events,
worked with partners to secure flood protection schemes, launched
its second garden waste collection scheme, and boosted the number
of accredited sports clubs in the area.
