Building Excellence Awards reward local building
companies
The first South Worcestershire Building

Fownes Hotel in Worcester.
Attended by people from the local construction
industry and officers and members from the South Worcestershire
Building Control Partnership, which consists of Malvern Hills ,
Wychavon and Worcester City Councils, the awards were
designed to reward those committed to meeting building Regulations
and standards .

developers and construction companies from a range of backgrounds
could be recognised, the winners were selected by a special panel
of judges from Worcestershire and Herefordshire Local Authority
Building Control Services.

Councillor Andy Roberts said: “Good building
workmanship so rarely gets appreciated as too often the focus has
been on the problems associated with building failures. This event
was designed to help change this perception by not only
demonstrating the range of talented building professionals in the
county, but how the three councils are working closely with them to
ensure construction projects benefit the local environment.”
