MP support for volunteering
A recent visit by Harriett Baldwin MP highlighted
the good work carried out by Malvern Hills Volunteering. The
organisation offers a free and confidential service to members of
the public and provides impartial advice and information about
local volunteering opportunities.
The organisation is run by Kay Bromley with
support from Malvern Hills District Council and the Citizens Advice
Bureau. Kay, a volunteer herself, has been running the
organisation since July last year.
Councillor Barbara Williams, Portfolio Holder
for Community & Economic Development at MHDC said:
“Harriett’s visit highlights the vital role
that volunteering plays in our local community. Volunteering
is a two way process – clients obviously benefit from the support
that is offered to them and volunteers can gain crucial skills and
knowledge that will assist them throughout their lives. I
would encourage everyone to have a go at volunteering – if you have
a few hours to spare then please do get in touch with the
organisation. “
If you are interested in volunteering or you
