Top marks for Malvern Hills’ newest loos!
Malvern Hills District Council is thrilled
with the awards it has recently received from this
year’s ‘Loo of the Year’ scheme.
The district’s two newest public
conveniences – in Market Street, Tenbury Wells and on the Worcester
Road at Malvern Link, both scored 5 Stars which is the
highest mark available.
Councillor Bronwen Behan, Portfolio
Holder for Environmental Services at MHDC said:
“We are thrilled with having received top
marks, especially for the toilet facilities that we have recently
built. This shows that we as a council are continuing to make
every effort to provide both residents and visitors with first rate
facilities. “
The new toilets at Tenbury Wells were a
bespoke design in keeping with the town and were the result of a
design competition. The winning design incorporated the style
of ‘oast’ houses and allowed for integrated disabled facilities
making them accessible for all members of the public.
