Save time by doing it on line
Residents are being encouraged by the
Worcestershire Hub to save time and go online for council
services.
As part of Get on Line Week (October 30 to November 6), the
Worcestershire Hub will be encouraging customers who ring or visit
their Customer Service Centres to save themselves time and
travelling costs by visiting http://www.whub.org.uk/ to report
problems, apply for services, pay bills and renew library
books.
Going online is an easy and convenient way to pay Council Tax
bills, School Transport and Business Rates. Problems can also be
reported on line such as faulty street lights, missed bins or pot
holes. There is even a facility for people wanting to apply for
copy certificates, school places or even just renewing library
books.
Rachel Hill, Head of Customer Services for the
Worcestershire Hub said: "Doing it Yourself is now the
sign of the times and so we are continually looking at ways to
transform council services so they can be accessed by customers
online. That way, residents can decide to contact us when it best
suits them.
I would like to encourage residents to try it out for
themselves. If they haven't got a computer at home, they can always
visit their local library to use a computer for free.
