Malvern Water springs back into life!
On a recent visit to Holywell Water Company, Councillor David
Hughes, Leader of Malvern Hills District Council, was able to see
the existing operation and discuss the future plans for the
business with Mike Humm, Director of the company. The company is
set to expand its operation and is hoping to introduce an
automated bottling plant at the premises in Holywell Road, Malvern
to bottle the product which is now called Holywell Malvern Spring
Water. The new automated plant would complement the existing
bottling plant which is not an automated process.

Cllr. David Hughes, Leader of
MHDC said:
“It’s excellent news for the town that once again we have
water being bottled bearing the “Malvern” name, and I would urge
all local organisations to get behind this venture and show their
support by buying locally bottled Holywell Spring Malvern Water
whenever possible. “
Despite the recent severe government cuts in
funding and general financial austerity, Malvern Hills District
Council is showing its support by reintroducing Holywell Malvern
Spring Water to the meeting rooms that are used by members of the
public when visiting officers at the council. “We are keen to do
whatever we can to assist all local businesses, and demonstrate our
commitment to the economic regeneration of the Malvern Hills
district.”
Rhys Humm, Director of the Holywell
Water Company Ltd and son of Mike Humm said:
“Following two years of rapid business growth we are tremendously
excited about the next phase of the business which will see a new
automated bottling line producing more Holywell Malvern Spring
Water. Since Coca-Cola rather shamefully pulled the plug on Malvern
Water it has become a responsibility and a privilege to continue
the heritage of this world famous water- including the “Malvern”
name in our branding was vital not just for us but also the legacy
of the water, the town and its Victorian Water Cure. We hope this
will continue to draw trade to the town and surrounding area.
Malvern Hills District Council has shown valued support to us both
in promotion in their external meetings but also in issuing a match
funded booster grant via the Worcestershire LEP. We are very
grateful for this support.”
