New recreation facility for Hallow

Work on a new recreation facility next to Hallow Parish Hall which has just got underway will see the land transformed by a new picnic area, zip wire and cycle/skate board track.

The project has been developed by Hallow Parish Council after consultation with the local community.  Funding for the initiative, totaling over £50,000, was made available by Malvern Hills District Council’s Public Open Space Grant scheme.

CouncillorTony Penn, Portfolio Holder for Planning and Housing said:
“This is fantastic news for the people of Hallow.  The significant improvement to the land will provide a space which has facilities for all ages and will encourage the local community to take pride in and take care of their public open space.  The general landscaping of the site will also be improved by new planting meaning that the site will generally be much more appealing.”
