The Big Pickersleigh Project
“Our Goal is to increase the ambition and aspiration
of people in Pickersleigh. To build confidence and help establish
the area as a balanced sustainable community, and make a real
difference to the quality of life for residents”.

The Themes
The project is split into four themes for investment, these
are:
Empower local People - Theme Lead Sue Heelas,
Head of Communities & Housing, Festival Housing Group
Enable local people to get involved and have a say on issues
affecting their local area so that people feel a real part of their
community.
Transforming Neighbourhoods - Theme Lead John
Williams, Head of Policy & Performance, MHDC
Reconnecting people with the housing and job markets wherever
possible.
Improving Liveability - Theme Lead Jane
Francis, Divisional Inspector, West Mercia Police
Tackle crime, fear of crime and anti-social behaviour, improve
the quality of the physical environment and provide adequate access
to leisure facilities for Pickersleigh residents.
Improving access to Local Public Services
- Theme Lead Francis Howie, Assistant Director of Public Health,
Worcestershire PCT
To bring services closer to people and make them more
personal.
