About the Council

Malvern Hills District Council is located in the West Midlands on the outskirts of Worcestershire. It is one of the least densely populated districts in Worcestershire with a population of around 73, 900 residents covering an area of 577 km2. The principal towns in the district are Malvern, Upton upon Severn and Tenbury Wells.

We are an Excellent local authority that delivers high customer satisfaction, good performance and value for money.

Currently operating as a small team of just 179 members of staff, the council works hard with its partners to achieve better outcomes for residents.

We are amongst the top twenty “Best Councils to work for” in the country; are financially stable and have a robust Medium Term Financial Strategy in place.
