External Inspections
All public organisations are subject, quite properly, to a range
of scrutiny and assessment in the interests of probity and value
for money. Local government studies are undertaken by the Audit
Commission in conjunction with the Department of Communities and
Local government (DCLG)
There are a range of inspections and reviews which they
undertake and which are included in this part of the web site.

Place Survey
Ensuring residents receive best value for money and that this
district is a great one in which to live work and play is of great
importance to this Council. In order to check the satisfaction
levels of those living in the area this Council took part in the
Place Survey in 2008.
The Place Survey is a national survey that was overseen by
the Audit Commission and conducted by Ipsos MORI on behalf of the
Council in 2008. It was designed to capture residents' satisfaction
levels and views on public services within the Malvern Hills
area.
While a cross section of residents in the district were invited
to complete the questionnaire and results showed that over 91% of
respondents are satisfied with this area as a place to live, the
survey also highlighted a number of key areas that residents are
not so happy with. This Council will now use the analysis of the
survey to further improve the services it provides to residents
over the next few months.
