Cooling tower notification
| Licence Summary |
If you control non-domestic premises in Malvern Hills district,
you must ensure that you notify us of any cooling tower or
evaporative condenser (notifiable devices) on the premises (The
Notification of Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condensers
Regulations 1992).
Notification must be in writing (including by electronic means)
on a form approved by the Health & Safety Executive.
You must tell us about any changes to the notification
information within one month of the change, in writing.
If the device ceases to be a notifiable device you must tell us,
in writing, as soon as possible.
The prime purpose of this is to identify potential areas that
could give rise to spread of infectious disease e.g. legionella and
to ensure preventative measures are taken to eliminate the risk of
such infection arising to employees and the public.
Our current register is here.
