Sampling and Monitoring

  • Microbiological sampling surveillance programmes are carried out for local producers of high risk food, including specific foods of interest from retailers.
  • Food sampling programmes developed by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and Local Authorities Coordinators of Regulatory Services (LACORS) on a national basis, are also carried out.
  • Food complaint samples are examined in-house or through approved analysts/laboratories.
  • Infectious disease samples (e.g. food, faeces).
  • Health & Safety monitoring/sampling is carried out (e.g. asbestos, swimming pool/spa water, humidity, temperature, lighting, microwaves, noise, electricity, floor slip resistance
