Worcestershire TeleCare

A Caring Service for Everyone

We all need help and assistance sometimes.

That is why Worcestershire TeleCare provides a service designed to give individuals the control and comfort to carry on living an independent life in their own home safe in the knowledge that help is close at hand. The service is available to anyone who is, or feels at risk. This could be due to age, illness, disability, harassment or simply living alone. We also provide a range of services to customer organisations.

What is Telecare?
The word ‘tele’ means at a distance.  Hence telecare is ‘care at a distance’.  Telecare consists of smart sensors placed around the home linked to a telecare alarm unit and monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by a monitoring and response centre enabling swift action to be taken should an incident occur. Technological advancement over recent years has taken telecare into new territory.  Traditional telecare relied heavily on user intervention in a crisis but the new phase of telecare on offer in today’s market is all about passive prevention. This means that meeting the very specific needs of individual clients a very positive experience helping all types of individuals to meet their desire for independent living through monitoring and reassurance rather than crisis management.
