Play Development
Play is a fundamental aspect of a child's
early years development and there is a clear correlation between a
child's experiences and opportunities to play and their personality
and character traits as an adult.
Play is very high on national agendas and as a result large
amounts of funding are coming in to Counties and districts across
the County. To access this funding play strategies and action plans
have been developed to identify and plan how this funding will be
best spent, to help increase the positive opportunities and
experiences children have whilst 'playing'.
For information about how this funding will be spent within
worcestershire, visit the Worcestershire Play
Strategy, or Malvern Hills Play Action Plan web
pages or for information nationally visit www.playengland.org.uk

Play Areas
Malvern Hills District Council has recently commissioned Knight
Kavanagh and Page (KKP) to carry out an independent Open Space,
Sport and Recreation audit of the district, often referred to as a
PPG17 Audit. On completion, the audit will steer resources for
potential future developments within the district.
Take a look at the details of the districts play
areas as identified in the PPG17 Audit.
