Malvern Hills District Council Planning Committee adopted the
Front Design Guide SPD on 11th April 2011.
The Design Guide, which was prepared in partnership with the
District’s three Civic Societies, sets out guidance for the design
of shop fronts across the whole district. The SPD will be taken
into account as a material consideration during the assessment of
development proposals for shops.
Statement gives formal notice that the Council has adopted the
SPD. The Statement made under
Regulation18 (4)(b) of the Town and Country Planning (Local
Development) (England) Regulations 2004 provides a summary of
the comments which were received during the public consultation on
the SPD and how the final SPD was amended as a result.
Copies of the SPD are available for inspection
at the Customer Service Centres located in Malvern,
Upton-upon-Severn and Tenbury Wells.
