Open Space Supplementary Planning Document
Malvern Hills District Council has prepared an Open Space Supplementary
Planning Document (SPD) as part of the Local Development
Framework (LDF) for the District. The SPD was adopted on the 5th
August 2008.
The SPD sets out the District Council’s approach to securing
open space, sport and recreational facilities through new housing
development. The guidance forms the basis for negotiation with new
housing developers for contributions towards the provision of
appropriate open space, sport and recreational facilities and their
long term maintenance, as referred to in policies CN12 (page
149) and CN13 (page 151) of
the adopted Malvern Hills District Local Plan.
