Malvern Hills District Council adopts new Car Parking Strategy

As the largest provider of 'Pay and Display' car parking in Malvern, Tenbury Wells and Upton upon Severn, the council is committed to ensuring that these facilities are fit for purpose and that they provide value for money to both customers and council tax payers.

The council recently finished a consultation process which gathered the views of local residents, businesses, tourist organisations and other stakeholder groups on key car parking issues affecting the district. The aim of the consultation was to build a fully informed picture of the usage of on-street and ‘Pay and Display’ parking.  The information gathered throughout the consultation process has contributed to the development of a strategy to guide the future development of car parking provision. The strategy has clear and agreed objectives which will form the basis of a detailed and phased action plan which will be agreed over the coming months.
