Data Protection Act
The Data Protection Act 1998 is the law that governs the processing of individuals personal information.
The Act gives individuals certain rights regarding the information held about them. It also places obligations on organisations like Malvern Hills District Council who process personal information. Anyone processing personal information must notify the Information Commissioner's Office that they are doing so, unless their processing is exempt.
We have notified the Information Commissioner of the purposes for which we process personal information. Our register entry can be viewed on the Commissioner's web site.
If you would like to access the personal information that we may hold about you, please print and complete the subject access request form and follow the instructions given in Data Protection - Your right to know.
If you require a council document in large print, Braille, on tape or in a language other than English, then please call the Customer Service Centre.
