Graffiti and Flyposting

Unauthorised graffiti is illegal but the responsibility for dealing with individual cases is dependent on the location. For example:

  • Graffiti on private property would be the responsibility of the owner for removal.
  • Graffiti on public buildings or properties would be the responsibility of the relevant council authority.

Flyposting is illegal and is most common in prominent public places such as bus shelters and bill boards.
