Trophies and certificates of achievement were handed out to builders and developers at The Built In Quality Awards  held at the Foley Arms Hotel on the 22nd May 2008.

The awards recognise outstanding quality construction within Malvern Hills District.

From the 70 nominations sent in by home owners and surveyors, 20 builders within six categories were shortlisted and the winners were:

Single Dwellings category: Arrow Developers Ltd

Multiple Dwellings Category: 3W Developments Ltd

Extensions Category: J Birch Design andn Build Ltd

Flats/Appartments Category: Court Property Developers Ltd

Conversion to Dwellings category: John McConnel Developments

Commercial: Bert Andrews and Son Ltd

Highly Commended were: McLaughlan and Morrey Builders, Mr P McElroy, MRD Developments (Malvern) Ltd, Severn Vale Construction, Barnes and Beale, SAPE Limited, Lee Huxley Builders Ltd, Mr S Tromans, K R Dawe Builder, M J Cale Builder, I J Preece and Son Ltd, J and S Seddon (Building) Ltd, C J Bayliss (Hreford) Ltd.

Guest speaker at the event was Karen Harris (pictured right), an Environmental Scientist specialising in sustainable design/construction and micro renewables whose talk and presentation was entitled "It's Easy Being Green"

The Winners

The winners will be entitled to use the ‘Built In Quality’ logo. and will also be put forward for the national Built in Quality Awards held at The Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on Thursday 16th October 2008.
