National Initiatives

The Building Control Service can already provide to our customers the following products:

National Type Approvals

To save developers time and money, this scheme provides for the approval of standard designs for housing, as well as for industrial and commercial buildings such as hotels, shops, offices restaurants, schools and petroleum station forecourts.

Partner Authority Scheme

Provides for a company to partner with local authority of its own choice. The Partner Authority will deal with all aspects of design including plans-examination, pre-application advice and all necessary consultations including the fire service wherever the project is to be built, but in close liaison with the Partnership Authority.
