Heritage Lottery Fund Logo

Five hundred years of documents relating to all aspects of Worcester life are being made accessible thanks to HLF funding. Two dedicated staff are working on WASP and will complete the project to coincide with the opening of the new Library and History Centre in 2011. We will produce an online catalogue of the archive, exhibitions and educational resources, most of which will support the national curriculum.

We are working with the University of Worcester, Worcester City Council, and the City and County Archaeology Services to give as many people as possible access to this fantastic archive collection.

New Online Exhibition Commemorates War Hero

An online exhibition Remembering Private Dancox: Worcester’s Victoria Cross Hero is currently available to see on the ‘Collection Highlights’ section of this website.

WASP shares ‘Wishes from History’ with children at Cripplegate Park
On Sunday 7th December WASP attended the annual ‘Tree Dressing Day’ at Cripplegate Park in Worcester. The Friends of the Park host the event every year and this year was a joyous occasion with music and crafts for children all day, plus the chance to hang personal wishes on the beautiful mature trees.
