The Worcestershire Play Strategy is a collaboration between the six Districts of Worcestershire and has been developed with a range of partners from the voluntary, statutory and private children and young peoples sector. |

In developing this strategy we have talked to children and young people and with them identified issues to be tackled.
Play as a concept is all to often dismissed as an irrelevance but play is of enormous benefit not just to children and young people but to families and communities as well. what's more, play can be a lot of fun!

Play is fundamentally important for children and young people's health, well-being and learning. Play will contribute to the achievement of many of Worcestershire's objectives as diverse as improved health, better learning, safer communities, social inclusion, community cohesion and a strong local culture. |
We have many good services, but there is still much work to be done before all children and young people across the County have access to excellent play opportunities.
Worcestershire Play Strategy is an invitation to all those willing to share in this task to work together in partnership for play.
