Drink/Driving/Drugs

Last year, over 50,000 people were killed or injured in Britain in crashes where at least one person was over the drink/drive limit.  Drivers risk everything – their own freedom, the lives of family and friends, their own wellbeing – for the sake of “joining the party”.   Wine and beer

Many drivers could still be “under the influence” of alcohol from the night before and easily over the legal limit the next day.

Many people are not aware that prescribed drugs, as well as recreational and illegal drugs, will affect one’s ability to drive safely.  Always read the instructions on the medication carefully!    Look for the red/amber/green traffic light warning system on the package.  In consulting a pharmacist, let them know you are a driver.
