Appointments, etc Panel

The Council from time to time convene Appointments, etc Panels to:-

(a)  Act in relation to the appointment, terms and conditions, discipline, capability, suspension or dismissal of the Chief Executive (Head of Paid Service), Directors and Heads of Service.

(b)  Take any decisions relating to staffing and personnel matters which are not, in pursuance of any policies, practices or procedures delegated to officers.

(c)  Determine of any cases of early termination of employment or redundancy involving the award of added years.

Membership

The Director of Corporate Services will convene individual Appointments, etc Panels as and when necessary.  Individual Case Panels will consist of 5 members (7 in the case of matters relating to the Chief Executive).

Meetings are held as and when required.
