Supporting People Five Year Strategy The Worcestershire Supporting people Partnership, comprising the County and District Councils, the Primary Care Trusts and the West Mercia Probation service, published the draft Worcestershire Supporting People Five-Year Strategy for consultation on 1st July.
The Supporting People programme, launched in 2003, makes the County Council responsible, through the Partnership, for funding, inspecting and planning a wide range of housing services for vulnerable people. These services range from sheltered housing for older people to refuges for women fleeing domestic violence, and from supported living for people with learning disabilities to hostels for homeless people. The strategy sets out how the partnership will shape and manage the local supported housing sector between now and 2010.
