Fairtrade Fortnight 2008- find out what's happening in Worcestershire
Fairtrade is an independent standard that guarantees a better deal for producers in the developing world. Producers receive a fair and stable income, which covers their production costs and enables them to re-invest in the business, or in social and environmental schemes in the local community. Shoppers in the UK now spend £millions every week on Fairtrade products.

Look out for the FAIRTRADE Mark on over 3,000 products, including tea, coffee, cocoa, chocolate, wine, fresh fruit and juices, aswell as clothing and other items, available in most supermarkets and some independent stores |
Malvern, Worcester, Bewdley and Stourport have been established as Fairtrade Towns and Cities. This means that they have realised 5 goals set by the Fairtrade Foundation, such as achieving a certain level of availability of Fairtrade products in local shops and catering outlets.
