Safeguarding Adults is Everyone's Business

FOREWORD

In recent years there has been a growing awareness that the abuse of vulnerable adults is a very real problem in our society. The increasing number of serious incidents of abuse emphasises the need for action to ensure that vulnerable adults, who are at risk of abuse, receive protection and support.

Protection of vulnerable adults is a multi-agency responsibility and it is essential that staff in a wide range of organisations play their part in this work. This information is issued by Worcestershire Safeguarding Adults Committee to help you in this role.
