A Map of how to get to the Library

Situated in the town centre in a large and airy building, close to public car parks, Evesham Library offers a warm welcome to all ages.  Whether you wish to borrow books, CDs, DVDs or audio tapes for recreation or study, surf the internet or use our well stocked reference library, we can help.

Younger readers have their own library complete with a help desk and  a Homework Club which runs from 3.30 to 5.20pm daily in term time. Special activities are held during holiday periods. Find out more about the homework club, holiday and regular activities using this link.

Use one of our 25 People’s Network PCs for up to 2 hours per day free of charge.  For the visually impaired, we can offer a PC with Dolphin Supernova software

Drop in IT sessions are held on the 1st Wednesday of the month from 10.00am - 12.00noon when staff are available to help you use the internet, email or word processing. The WEA runs 5 week structured IT courses several times a year in the library.

In a hurry?  Look at our Quick Choice section by the issue desk and Best Sellers by the enquiry desk.

If you enjoy talking about the books you have read with other people, why not join the Evesham Readers Group which meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 2.30pm in the library.  Evesham Readers Group Programme 2009 This is a link to a PDF file. (51.23 KB)

The local history reference section covers Evesham and the surrounding area with books, maps, census returns and photographs.  The Evesham Journal is available on microfilm from 1860 to date. Evesham Library also holds the archive of Women from the Vale, an oral history project recording the lives of ordinary women living through many changes of the twentieth century.

Compiling your family tree?  The Family History Forum, an informal meeting of like-minded people, is on the 2nd Monday of each month at 2.30pm in the library.  PCs are reserved for exclusive use and help is available.

Other facilities include a meeting room for hire, reader printer, fax machine and photocopier.

Exhibitions are held regularly throughout the year, visit Evesham Library Exhibiton Programme for more details about the exhibitions and details of how to book the exhibition and room and display areas.
