February farmers’ market in Malvern
The very best of local farmers' produce will be on sale again at the Malvern Hills Farmers' Market.
The regular farmers' market, which is supported by Malvern Hills District Council and takes place every third Saturday in the month, will be open from 9am until 2pm in Abbey Road, Malvern – by the gateway – on Saturday 21 February.
The market will showcase farmers, food producers and purveyors of fine local produce and promises to pull in a healthy crowd.
Malcolm Salisbury, Economic Development Officer at MHDC, said: "The farmers' market is always popular as it's a great way to speak directly to the people producing and selling the food and find out exactly where it has come from. The market also helps to promote fresh food and healthy eating as well as supporting local businesses and the rural economy."
Stalls at the market sell everything from fish and meat, fruit and vegetables, puddings, plants and herbs, to breads, cakes, jams and honey, wine, cider and juices.
The farmers' market was formed in 2000 to support the growth and development of farmers' markets across Worcestershire. The group is a non-profit organisation run by farmers in partnership with local councils and market operators.
