Fund to further develop Parish and Town Council Clerks
In a move to encourage more Parish and Town Council clerks to become better qualified, Malvern Hills District Council has announced the establishment of a bursary fund.
Existing clerks working for councils in the District who wish to take the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) examination can apply for a £200 grant towards their study and registration costs.
Speaking at a recent Parish and Town Council Conference, Deputy Council Leader Paul Swinburn said: "Achieving a professional qualification will help our Parish and Town Council clerks play an even bigger role in their communities.
Offering to pay about half of their study costs shows our commitment to supporting them".
Further information about the scheme is available from MHDC Assistant Democratic Services Officer, Charlotte McGimpsey (firstname.lastname@example.org).
