Get into the groove with Dance Fitness

Malvern Hills District Council is challenging 14-25 year olds to become fitter and healthier by signing up to a new Dance Fitness course.

Through the Sport England funded Sportivate scheme, and working with the Sports Partnership Herefordshire and Worcestershire and Dancefest, Malvern Hills will deliver a six week fun-filled Dance Fitness course.

Dance Fitness is a course looking to provide aspects of modern dance that will help improve fitness. The course will cost just £10 for six sessions over the six weeks and will be starting on Monday 23 February 2015. The sessions will take place at Sport Dyson Perrins from 3.30pm-4.30pm. All abilities are welcome and no dance experience is needed.

Poppy Marriott, from Dancefest, said: "We want people who perhaps don't exercise as much as they feel they should or people looking for a kick-start to a healthier lifestyle and want to be brave and try something different. Dance Fitness is an energetic weekly dance class using several different dance styles such as contemporary, street, hip-hop and zumba to promote health and fitness – so come along and get fit whilst having loads of fun."
