Great opportunity for keen apprentice

Malvern Hills District Council is seeking an enthusiastic and welcoming individual to join the team as an apprentice at the Malvern Tourist Information Centre (TIC).

The TIC has not had an apprentice for many years but is keen to give someone real experience of the tourism industry offering advice, information and guidance to the tens of thousands of visitors and residents who come the TIC or use the website.

Simon Smith, Manager of the Tourist Information Service, said: "We are really excited about having an apprentice in the TIC and feel we can offer someone a great opportunity to develop customer service skills whilst learning about the travel and tourism industry, the local area and beyond. We are looking for someone who can learn and work alongside our experienced tourist information staff."

The key requirements for the apprentice will be a willingness to learn, an approachable and outgoing nature and ability to work a rota pattern over seven days a week as the TIC is open everyday throughout the year.

Anyone interested in the position can find more details by searching on or by contacting the apprentice team at South Worcestershire College on  01386 712690. The closing date is 12 October 2014.
