Help us uncover Malvern's hidden history!
Following a successful bid in 2013 to the Heritage Lottery Fund, an exciting project to tell the hidden stories of the local area and its people over the last 1,000 years is taking great strides in Malvern.
The Route to the Hills project will bring to life the rich history of Great Malvern for the benefit of both the local community and visitors to the area. Opportunities and ideas are being explored at this time and volunteers are needed now to help develop and shape the project.
Jo Cross, Project Manager commented: "The most exciting thing about this project is the variety of opportunities for local people to get involved in making it happen. There will be many different ways to participate as the project develops - from researching the stories, welcoming people to the town and helping with digital technology. It's a great opportunity for local people of all ages and backgrounds to come together and learn more about our fascinating heritage whilst meeting like minded people and having some fun."
For those with a little less time, a short online survey is now open on the Malvern Hills District Council website. The project team is urging all Malvern residents to take ten minutes of their time to complete the survey and contribute to the development of the project.
The survey closes at midnight on Sunday 23rd March and all respondents will be entered into a draw to win one of four sets of £25 shopping vouchers.
