We can't wait to see residents and businesses lining the streets ready to welcome the Tour of Britain as it passes through the district. This is a real opportunity to promote the area and even if you're not already an avid cyclist it really isn't to be missed as there is a great programme of activities on Tour day itself and throughout the week.

Spectators and visitors to the area can also benefit from all day parking for just £1 on 10 September, a discount of £2 in the Councils long stay car parks.

The full programme of events in the district is available at and everyone is welcome to get involved in this historic sporting event.
