Malvern Arts and Craft Market is here
The second Malvern Arts and Craft Market of the year will be taking place in Abbey Road in Malvern on Saturday 2 May.
Staged by Boffy Arts Markets and Malvern Hills District Council, the market will be open from 10am to 5pm and promises to offer a wide range of items from local designer makers, artisan food producers and purveyors of local fine produce.
The market is a showcase for local talent and aims to provide affordable opportunities for local artists to sell their work to the public. The markets feature a range of work including ceramics, glass, jewellery, paintings, sculpture, printmaking, textiles and photography.
Malcolm Salisbury, Economic Development Officer at Malvern Hills, said: "We have another diverse gathering of artists and exhibitors on display at the market and with the wonderful weather we've had recently we look forward to seeing the town packed with residents and visitors all enjoying what's on offer."
Future Arts and Craft Market dates are 25 May (Great Malvern Food Festival), 22 August, 3 October and 28 November (Great Malvern Christmas Festival).
In addition to the Arts and Craft Market, the annual Malvern Well Dressing Festival starts on Friday 1 May and runs through to Thursday 7 May. This year's theme is 'The River of Life'.
Organisers, the Malvern Spa Association, believe it's the biggest festival of its kind in Britain with over forty wells decorated for last year's festival. The decorations stay in place throughout the early May bank holiday weekend and beyond to be admired by local residents and visitors from further afield.
