Meet Your Council scheme launched
Councillors are getting out and about in a bid to give residents and businesses more opportunity to have their say on local issues.
Malvern Hills District Council is trialling a new Meet Your Council programme which will see councillors and officers touring the district to answer questions and listen to comments and concerns.
Cllr Barbara Williams and Ivor Pumfrey, Head of Community Services, will be taking part in the first one in Martley Ward on Wednesday, 14 October.
The pair will be carrying out a walkabout in Wichenford in the morning, visiting businesses in the Martley area and holding a drop-in session at Sport Martley between 4pm and 5pm.
Cllr Williams said: "This is a great opportunity for people to raise any issues or concerns they may have regarding our services, let us know of anything we should be doing, or inform us of the things that we do well.
"We look forward to meeting lots of people and discussing important issues that can make a difference to the lives of people in the district."
Cllr John Michael and Cllr David Harrison will then be visiting businesses and meeting residents in Kempsey on Monday, 19 October along with Chief Executive Jack Hegarty.
If successful, the aim is to roll the scheme out across the district.
