Something for the weekend
MHDC are putting on a farmers market in the regular Abbey Road, Malvern location on 20 December 2014 – 9am – 5pm.
The market will showcase food producers and purveyors of fine local produce and promises to pull in a crowd and provide an all important last minute Christmas shopping opportunity.
In addition, starting this weekend a free exhibition at Malvern Cube is set to grab the attention of the town in the shape of a carpet forest.
The Carpet Forest is a magical art installation where strangely shaped branches cast dappled light onto the forest floor while the song of birds can be heard high in the canopy. Originally created as a one-off for The Kidderminster Arts Festival, it has since toured and comes to Malvern for Christmas.
Mal Salisbury, Economic Development Officer at MHDC said "This is a great weekend to come and finish off that last minute Christmas shopping and the festive season also sees The Carpet Forest providing a very intriguing artistic installation to enjoy and explore."
