Your chance to question council leader
Residents are being given the chance to question the leader and chief executive of Malvern Hills District Council as part of Local Democracy Week.
From now until 5pm on Friday, 16 October, residents, groups and organisations can send in questions they want answered on any part of the council's work.
They will then be put to Cllr Phil Grove, Leader of the Council and Chief Executive Jack Hegarty. Their answers will then be published online as a video blog.
The question and answer session has been set-up to celebrate Local Democracy Week which runs from Monday to Sunday, 12 to 18 October.
Staff and councillors will also be going into The Chantry School to talk to the district's young people as part of the week's activities.
Questions can be sent in by tweeting @MHDCcomms by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or write to Claire Vaughan, Malvern Hills District Council, Council House, Avenue Road, WR14 3AF.
Cllr Grove said: "Accountability is a really important part of local democracy and we should be making it easier for people to find out how we spend their money and about the decisions we make. I'm hoping as many people as possible will take the opportunity to get involved and ask a question."
